Our EIFFEL partner Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV) participated at ICAT 2022 | International Conference on Applied Technologies that was held on the 24th of November, 2022 at the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas “ESPE” in Quito, Ecuador.
Our colleague Benjamin Molina (UPV) as a keynote speaker provided key insights into the usage of semantics and ontologies in modern environments with the speech, entitled “Semantic interoperability, ontologies, and trends”. The EIFFEL project and its EIFFEL ontology (EIFF-O) were highlighted as an example of the usage of semantics and ontologies in the EO domain.
The main objectives were to disseminate results of EIFFEL Project with regards to the ontology and how it can be used for EO systems and applications to enrich the user experience and raise awareness of the GEOSS to more than 1.500 attendees from scientific communities, universities, R&D Centres etc. that were gathered at the conference.
