Introducing AI EIFFEL Tools at the Lithuanian Parliament

On October 20th during the Day of Agriculture, the EIFFEL Project and especially Pilot 2: Sustainable Agriculture National Scale was introduced at the agriculture exhibition, which was organized at the Seimas – the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania by our Partner NPA.

Throughout the exhibition the Vilnius residents and guests of the city had the advantage of visiting over 10 stands, including the stand of our Partner, the National Paying Agency (NPA), exploring modern agricultural equipment, devices promoting sustainability, drones and robots used in agriculture, while networking with representatives of organizations that work closely with farmers, scientific and educational institutions, agricultural consulting and control organizations, as well as associations and manufacturing companies.

In particular, visitors of our Partner's stand, were invited to test the special tool developed in the context of the EIFFEL project, funded by the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme for remote determination of various soil parameters. The goal of the EIFFEL project is to use the Earth Observation System (GEOSS) data to develop tools for monitoring the impact of various human activities on environment and thus helping to mitigate human impact on the climate change. In the EIFFEL project, artificial intelligence models help to estimate soil parameters based on satellite data, which then they are displayed in the map application.

During the exhibition the new EIFFEL video was displayed.
